UNB had lost some socring in Ed Grant, Ken Marchant and George Oke, but Coach Pete Kelly found adequate replacements in Marty Winslow, Herb Madill, Charlie McCluskey, Mike Currie, Jeff Leach and Bill Meehan, plus Al Furlong was back after a season with the Caps. The Devils to off to a great start, going 7-1-1, but late season losses to St. F.X (4-1) and St. Dunstan's (8-6) killed their chances for more playoffs. Only one team got to go to Nationals and there was no league playoffs. St. Dunstan's (10-1) won the title, but had to win that last game against UNB to qualify. Bill MacMillan (22-19-24) of St. Dunstan's won the scoring title. For UNB, only Darrell Lebanc (14-11) finished among the top ten scorers, but Mary Winslow (3-16), Garnet Stairs (5-6), Bob Naylor (3-8) and defenseman Jack Drover (8-8) were solid. Herb Madill had a four goal game against Mount A, while hat-tricks were recorded by Mike Currie, Lebancand Drover. Austin Duquette missed much of the season with a broken wrist.
